General Crypto Terms

  • 工作量证明 gōng zuò liàng zhèng míng

    Purpose: Validate transactions through computational work.

    Proof of Work (PoW) requires miners to solve complex math problems to validate transactions and secure the network.

  • 权益证明 quán yì zhèng míng

    Purpose: Validate transactions based on the amount of tokens staked.

    Proof of Stake (PoS) selects validators based on the number of coins they hold and are willing to "stake" as collateral.

  • 内存池 nèi cún chí

    Purpose: Store unconfirmed transactions.

    The mempool is where Bitcoin transactions wait to be confirmed by the network's miners.

    Purpose: Reduce the size of transactions and improve validation speed.

    Schnorr signatures enable the aggregation of multiple signatures into a single signature.

  • 隔离见证 gé lí jiàn zhèng

    Purpose: Increases Bitcoin transaction capacity and fixes malleability.

    Segregated Witness (Segwit) separates transaction signatures from transaction data, reducing transaction size and fixing malleability issues.

  • BRC-20标准 biāo zhǔn

    Purpose: Enable fungible tokens on Bitcoin.

    BRC-20 is a token standard created by the anonymous developer domo, allowing for the creation and management of fungible tokens on the Bitcoin blockchain.

  • 序号 xù hào

    Purpose: Enable unique digital assets on Bitcoin.

    Ordinals assign unique identities to individual satoshis (smallest Bitcoin units), enabling them to carry data like text, images, or smart contracts.

  • 符文 fú wén

    Purpose: Create fungible tokens on Bitcoin.

    Bitcoin Runes is a protocol for making fungible tokens on the Bitcoin blockchain. It uses Bitcoin's transaction model and a special code (OP_RETURN) to make token creation simple and efficient.

  • 铭文逐 míng wén zhú

    Purpose: Create digital assets and store information.

    Inscriptions are bits of data that are written directly onto the Bitcoin blockchain. Think of them as digital carvings or writings that are permanently recorded on the Bitcoin network.
